Automating email notifications to a WhatsApp group

Hello everyone,
Is there a possibility to automate sending the specific emails to the whatsapp group and not 1 user?

Hi Ani
Unfortunately, Zapier's native WhatsApp Notifications app doesn't support group messaging. This is because currently the Meta API does does not support sending messages to Groups. You could try to send the message to the individual members of the group.

HI Ani.

As long as they have whatApp numbers, this should work. They don't need to have Zapier accounts to receive notifications from Zapier.

Zapier's native **WhatsApp Notifications** app doesn't support group messaging due to current Meta API limitations - the Meta API doesn't allow sending messages directly to WhatsApp groups as mentioned by ​@roundrobin 

However, I have a few alternative suggestions that might work for your use case:

Third-party WhatsApp apps to explore:

  • Wati.io
  • WhatsApp Notifications and Alerts by SyncMate
  • Wbiztool
  • ChatArchitect.com
  • Twillio

Alternatives: 
• Send individual messages to each group member instead of the group itself
• Use multi-channel messaging apps like **Sinch** or **D7 Messaging** that support WhatsApp alongside other channels

You'll want to test these third-party integrations to see if they offer group messaging functionality that works around the Meta API restrictions. Each app may have different capabilities and limitations.
