Automatically get social media followers into Google Sheet

Each month we have to remember to go get our social media followers (which is public info) and input it into a spreadsheet. Is there a way to do this automatically using Zapier? Our accounts are Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and YouTube.

Hello, @Troy Tessalone ! Thank you for these. I saw someone else mention that they had created a social media dashboard to do this kind of monitoring for them (though now I’m not sure if they were using Zapier for it). It sounded amazing and I was hoping that it was something obvious to do. 


As an example: I was told that I couldn’t get JotForm’s results neatly put into ClickUp like I wanted. However, I found out that if I use Google Sheets as a middle between the two, it was possible. I’m hoping for something similar here.

I suggest checking out the available triggers/actions/searches for each of the apps you want want to get stats for to determine the feasibility of the data being available.

@Troy Tessalone is right that you need to check out the different triggers for each social media app that connects with Zapier. 

For example, in the screenshot above you can see that the Twitter Zapier integration has the trigger New Follower of Me, which means that you could set up a Zap like this:

Trigger: New Follower of Me

Action: Create Spreadsheet Row (to add the details of the Follower to a spreadsheet row - note that this won't give you their email address)

 

The YouTube Zapier integration doesn’t have a New Follower trigger, so you wouldn’t be able to build a Zap that would capture those for you.
