Hi,

We are looking to create pdf reports with daily schedules.

The issue here is that each case will have different amount of days.

So, one report might include daily schedules for Day 1, Day 2 etc.

Another report might reach up to Day 10.

And all of that will then have to be merged into a single pdf report template.

Is there a way to achieve this automatically with a Zap?

Thank you!

Hi @JammerS

We managed to achieve this by collaborating with Jacky from CraftMyPdf.com.

He set up JSON fields and commands and now everything works smoothly.

Excellent customer support from his part.

Highly recommended!

Hi @Dionysis X,

Welcome to the Community.

Automating daily PDF reports with varying schedules in Zapier is achievable with the proper setup. Start by identifying your data source, such as a spreadsheet or database. Use a trigger like a new row or entry to start the Zap, then format the content dynamically using Formatter by Zapier. Tools like Crafmypdf or PDF.co can generate the PDF from templates with placeholders for each day's schedule. If needed, use PDF.co to merge multiple PDFs into one. Finally, add delivery steps like email or cloud uploads, and test thoroughly to ensure it handles different schedule lengths correctly.

Hi @JammerS ,

Thank you for your reply.

We have prepared the workflow you described.

We have a form where users will enter the number of days.

Then based on that and other data, a report will be created for them, which will be presented to them in a pdf template.

This template contains other pages as well, with various proposals and after that it comes down to the daily schedule.

We would like to offer them that in a daily format, as in Day 1 one page, then Day 2 another one etc.

We have mapped output data correctly and the pdf template does have data fields to fill.

The concern is that each user will enter different number of days.

How can we have this correctly done in our finished report then?

Thank you.

Hi @Dionysis X,

Thanks for sharing more about your workflow. To dynamically generate a PDF report with a variable number of days, use a tool like PDFMonkey or Formstack Documents to create a flexible template with placeholders for each day's data. Incorporate looping via Looping by Zapier or a third-party service to handle multiple days, and use Zapier's Paths or Filters for conditional logic. Test with different day counts to ensure the PDF generates correctly.

Yes, this can be automated with Zapier.

You can use Google Docs or PDFMonkey/Formstack Documents to dynamically generate a daily schedule template for each day, then use a Zapier Looping step or Code by Zapier to create each day’s section.

After generating individual PDFs or pages, you can use tools like PDF.co, PDFMonkey, or DocuPilot (via Zapier) to merge them into a single final PDF report.

Let me know your preferred tools or if you'd like help setting this up.
