I am looking for an automated notification when a new file is placed into a google drive folder but also contains a specific string or set of strings in the name of the file.
Can this be done?

Hi! I’d do the following:
- “New File in Folder” (specify the file from the dropdown list you’re shown)
- Filter Step: Only continue IF // {{File Title}} // CONTAINS // _specific string_ (you can add AND/OR conditions to refine the filter or make it broader)
I don’t know of a GDrive trigger step that directly does the filtering, but you lose nothing by putting a Zapier Filter step just after, since this kind of step is not discounted from your Zapier monthly task allowance :)
