Are different paths in a Paths step executed deterministically in order of declaration?

I see the answer to a similar question here: 

However, when the Zapier Virtual Assistant chat bot is asked the same question, it says that paths are executed one at a time in order that they are listed. So what’s the correct current answer?

AI can hallucinate.

From experience, Paths can run in parallel.

Best to test to be sure.
