anyone get this to work?

I tried copying and using the exact zap

I am able to trigger it - and it seems to run - but after Alexa asks “What would you like the email to say”  I can can respond with a phrase or any word really and then I get  a message

“oops something went wrong”

and the email doesn’t get sent -

anyone have any tips or advice on getting this template to work? any ideas?

thanks a lot!

Hi @zapzap101

Good question.
We’d need to see detailed screenshots with how your Zap steps are configured in order to have more context, thanks.

thanks for the help and I’m happy to do that

but basically i took the stock template - I did not modify or change anything

I connected my alexa account to it

I plugged in an email address into the template so as to where to send the email

i saved the zap and tried to run it

It’s the stock unmodified template listed at the link  at the top of  my post

@zapzap101

Have you reviewed the available help articles for using Amazon Alexa in Zaps?

https://zapier.com/apps/amazon-alexa/help

I can try any test phrase even just a single word and get the oops error

in the screenshot i’m typing to alexa but it works the same if i speak it to alexa

@zapzap101

Did you turn the Zap ON before testing?

I was able to configure and successfully my Zap triggered by Amazon Alexa.

yes the zap is on.

it seems to run.

alexa asks “what would you like the message to say”

after that it bombs with “oops something went wrong”

were you actually able to get alexa to send the email specifically with the message you told her to send?

thanks so much!
