Hi guys
Is it possible to add actions to a zap and have them run for historical data that’s already been through the zap flow?
Thanks!
David

Hi
You’re not able to run a Zap and have it use historical data from before it was turned on, but there may be some type of workaround available. Would you mind elaborating a but on what your overall workflow looks like, and which apps you’re using? Thanks!
Thanks Nick!

Sadly, Zapier can’t be made to work the way you want it to. It’s not possible to add new steps to a zap and have historical entries run just through those steps.
If you’re able to export prior Typeform entries to CSV, there is a workaround you could use, where you’d create a zap with just the new step you want to add and trigger it with a Google Sheet.

Thanks for the feedback Andrew!
It's quite an inconvenient limitation, which I hope Zapier will fix. Because if you could have it running new actions on old data, it would be an excellent way to extend a sales sequence and make Zapier a workflow-manager, rather than tool-integrator. I would gladly pay more money for Zapier to do this.
Is there somewhere we can log this as a requested feature?
Hi

Hey folks! Just coming in here to close the loop. If you’re looking to access historical data within your Zaps, you can now utilize our Transfer functionality: https://zapier.com/help/create/other-functions/bulk-import-data-into-apps-with-transfer 🎉
