Add Subscriber to Tag in Mailchimp is not working

I want to add a subscriber to a tag in Mailchimp, but Zapier is not showing the tag in the dropdown menu. It says:

We couldn't find any more choices.
Sorry, there are no more choices. We've loaded all 100.

But we have 200+ tags in Mailchimp. Does Zapier load only 100?

Hi @melnick

TIP: Use the ‘Custom’ mapping option to set the name of the Mailchimp Tag you want to use as a static/hardcoded value.

@Troy Tessalone thanks for that! Here’s the larger goal of this Zap:

  • Person buys a product from our Shopify shop
  • If Product ID exactly matches TEXTEXT
  • Then add subscriber to tag in Mailchimp

To accomplish this, I’ve created a Zap as follows:

  • Trigger = New Paid Order in Shopify
  • Action = Only continue if Product ID exactly matches TEXTEXT
  • Action = Add subscriber to tag in Mailchimp

Does that sound right?

@melnick

Advice: When in doubt, test it out!

Assuming step 2 is a Filter step.

For step 3 you can also use the Mailchimp Action of Add/Update Subscriber.

@Troy Tessalone yeah, it errored out I think because the email address belonged to an existing subscriber. I just changed the Mailchimp Action to Add/Update Subscriber on your recommendation and that seems to be working. Thank you!
