Add new students in Kajabi to Google Classrooms

I wonder if it’s possible to automatically add new students in Kajabi to Google Classroom? Each time a new student completes a purchase, I want them to be automatically added to Classrooms. 

 

I see that Zapier does not currently connect with Google Classroom - is there a work-around?

 

And I also saw on another question that adding classroom is on Zapier’s internal wishlist - is there any way we can vote that up? This would be huge for me as it would mean my students can get started the minute they purchase my course, whether or not it’s during business hours, and it would clear up manpower to do more things that push the needle.

Good question.

 

Zapier does not currently have a public suggestion box available for voting.

You can submit a ticket via Zapier Support to have your request logged: https://zapier.com/app/get-help

 

The workaround would be to use the Google Classrooms API: https://developers.google.com/classroom/reference/rest

App APIs can be used in Zaps with the Code app or Webhook app as an action step.

Can you help me out here? I’m a total newbie at zapier and have only ever created one zap 😆 

 

Whats an API, and what’s webhook? (I’ve read both linked articles plus poked around about these on google but still not sure how to work with either)

where can I find out more?

 

what would a zap like that look like?

 

Please excuse my ignorance, I’m a complete and total newbie to this.

Using app APIs is an advanced approach, especially Google APIs.

My recommendation would be to seek professional help.

Troy is right, at the moment we don’t offer a Google Classroom app. 😔 That said, I went ahead and added your vote for this integration to our internal app wishlist! While we can’t guarantee or offer a timeline at the moment, we’ll be sure to let you know if and when this app is added to Zapier. In the meantime, if you're curious, here's a bit more on how new services typically get added to Zapier:

I’ll drop some resources below regarding Webhooks. Troy did touch on this but one thing to keep in mind is our support team provides limited support around Webhooks due to them being a more advanced approach. The Code & Webhooks forum is a good place to ask troubleshooting questions once you’re up and running! Of course our Zapier Experts program is a great option if you’d rather hire someone to take this one on for you. 🙂
