Hi! I’m trying to Zap data from Formstack to Copper … This particular Formstack form includes sensitive data so it is encrypted with a PGP key.  Is it possible to provide Zapier the key or? does anyone know how to do this securely?

Hi @Evergreen Payments Northwest, welcome to the Community!

I’ve not used Formstack with a PGP key previously, are you finding that you’re not seeing the form data come through when you test the Zap? I know that a Zap will have trouble getting a test sample when the form is password encrypted, so I imagine that this will be similar.

If it doesn’t work, then one possible workaround is to set up the form so that it sends you an email when you get a submission and then use Email Parser by Zapier to extract the information from the email.

With Email Parser by Zapier, you will receive an email address where you need to send/forward your emails. In case you are receiving them in Gmail/Gsuite, you can read more about how to setup auto-forwarding rules here (specifically only forward certain kind of messages) - https://support.google.com/mail/answer/10957?hl=en. There you will be able to set up filters for which emails to forward. The Zap will trigger automatically on those emails and will extract the information based on the template you've set up on https://parser.zapier.com. You can read more about Parser here - https://zapier.com/help/create/email-and-text-messages/trigger-zaps-from-new-parsed-emails.

The Email Parser works on a very basic algorithm. It expects the emails to be in the exact format most of the time. In case it doesn't work as expected, you could try out a few workarounds that are suggested here - https://zapier.com/help/troubleshoot/behavior/emails-are-parsed-incorrectly-in-zapier
