Unselected option getting set as Empty

I have two dropdowns one for users and one for collections. Leaving Users dropdown blank set’s it to empty as in the image, but leaving collections doesn’t. The problem with Empty state is that it sends the data to webhook as array of empty string → [“”] . How can this be fixed so that it doesn’t set it to empty
