I have a webhook from a form on my website. Zapier takes the webhook and uses it to look for clients in Jobber, create a new client if none found, and make a request with a note attached.

I’ve gotten it to work a few times, but it seems the connection between the first step in the zap (Catch Hook) and the second step (Create Client in Jobber) seems to get severed and I end up with completely wrong information getting sent to Jobber (it seems to fill it in with info from the first client ever created in my Jobber account). 
I’ve used the Copilot to try to help me but we keep going in circles.

Anyone able to help?

For us to have more info, post screenshots showing: 

  • how your Zap steps are outlined
  • how your Zap steps are configured in the CONFIGURE tab in EDIT mode with the field mappings visible

Are you mapping the value correctly that are dynamic instead of static values in Create Client in Jobber action because as you mentioned only the information from first client is getting created? See more about dynamic mapping here- https://help.zapier.com/hc/en-us/articles/8496343026701-Send-data-between-steps-by-mapping-fields. If that’s not the problem, please share the screenshots of Data In and Data Out for us to have more context. Hope it helps!

Hey ​@Scout Gutter Solutions, just checking in - did mapping dynamic values for the client details as Sparsh suggested do the trick?

If not, can you send over some screenshots of the Zap’s setup like Troy mentioned, so we can take a closer look? Remember to use a tool like Zappy to remove any personal info like names, emails etc. before sharing as this is a public space.
