I am trying to set up a form that creates contacts in FUB upon Google Form submission. I can get the new contact created and every field filled out except timeframe. Timeframe is a native field on FUB, but it isn’t an option on Zapier’s integration. I am not sure if I need to do custom python code or a webhook (I have tried both but could not get either to work). Using a custom field isn’t an option as it would make us split between the native timeframe field and the custom timeframe field. 

 

Any solutions or ideas would be super helpful!!

I don’t think it’s possible through the native Follow Up Boss integration in Zapier. The workaround is to query the Follow Up Boss API directly using the API request action. See more about it here- https://docs.followupboss.com/reference/timeframes-get

 

 


Here is a helpful article about using API request action in Zapier- https://help.zapier.com/hc/en-us/articles/12899607716493-Create-an-API-Request-action. I know it can get a bit more technical and complex but if its important for you, you can give this approach a try. Hope it helps!

Hi ​@Sparsh from Automation Jinn I’ve tried using the API Request but I must be setting it up incorrectly. I am not very technical… I’m not sure how to find the exact end point url further more I am not sure how to make it adaptive as each new contact will have a new contact ID- will this update automatically? 

Not totally sure what to put in the Query string parameters or if I have headers or body correct either. I appreciate the help.

I can understand it can get a bit more technical and complex as it’s more advanced way of using Zapier. For more information, you will have to read the API documentation of Follow Up Boss(https://docs.followupboss.com/reference/getting-started). You would have to get timestamp id and then make another query to the API to update the contact with that timestamp ID. Hope it helps!
