Authentication error when connecting to an application in Zapier


I am trying to connect to an application and receive this error.  Does this error mean the issue is on Zapier’s side or the application.

 

We hit an error adding your new account

authentication failed: The app returned "ERR_AUTH_FAILED".

  1. Make sure you click "Allow" or "Accept" on the permission popup
  2. Double check your Account has the correct permissions
  3. Check out our help docs for more information

Which app are you trying to use? (name + screenshot)

 

NOTE: Most Zap app integrations are created and managed by the app developer using the Zapier Developer Platform, so you may need to try reaching out to the app support for help with their Zap app.

 

That error usually means either:

  • a user issue providing the correct field value
  • user does not have the correct app plan to use the Zap app integration
  • issue with the app itself

 

Try this tip: 

 

 


None of this worked. What are my other options?

I do not work for Zapier.

I recommend reaching out to Groove.cm Support for help with their Zap app integration, which they likely created and manage.
