How to insert and update records in an Excel spreadsheet using a chatbot

We need to preform 2 actions mainly in the spreadsheet

1. Insert & update


If it’s a new service, then we insert the record in the spreadsheet


2. If it’s a modification to an existing service, then we need to find the service in the excel spreadsheet and then update it

We are not using Email as trigger point as it won’t be ideal method to do it. I can’t use webhooks since we get some changes in PDFs. I can’t use any third party except Microsoft Spreadsheet.

Happy to brainstorm on this with you. I do have a few questions though:

  1. Could you clarify where and how the data is being added or updated? For instance, are you manually entering new records, or is the data being imported or updated from another system (e.g., a file upload)?

  2. You mentioned not using email or webhooks. Would you prefer to use changes in the spreadsheet (e.g., when a row is added or modified) as the trigger for your workflow?
