Hey everyone!
I love Zapier as a product.
But recently, I’ve been running into a frustrating limitation that I’m surprised isn’t already addressed (I also spoke to support about it).
When working with Zaps that include delays, I believe there really needs to be an option to:
A) Fade out the current version of a Zap. That is: allow all Zaps that are already running and in a delay step to finish, while preventing any new triggers from entering the Zap.
B) Manually skip a delay if needed — especially when retrying errored runs. This would be a huge help when debugging or editing live workflows.
Without these features, editing or replacing Zaps with delays becomes a nightmare. Delayed runs often error out if the Zap has changed too much while they were paused. Also, transitioning from one Zap to another is messy — there’s no way to “drain” delayed runs without fully turning off the Zap, which effectively kills all in-progress actions.
I can’t imagine I’m the only one who has struggled with this.
Is anyone from the Zapier team able to comment on whether these kinds of improvements are on the roadmap — or if others have found a workaround?
Thanks!
