I have the free plan and I’m trying to do a zap where when I end a zoom meeting and the recording is complete, zapier downloads it and uploads to youtube. There is a pre-made zap for this but I keep getting an error that it’s the wrong file type for zoom. I can add a step in between for zapier to download the video file and then upload it to youtube but then I have to turn into the paid plan. I know there must be a way to do it without the extra step but I’m not sure where I’m going wrong. Below are screenshots of my set up. Thanks in advance!
Hi
Help us have more info by posting screenshots of the encountered error.
In the YouTube Zap step, the Video field has a variable with a label that indicates Files (PLURAL), so the variable may contain multiple download URL.
The Video field expects only 1 Video file.
Hi there
Was it the presence of multiple files in that selected Recording Files Download Url field that was causing some trouble? Would love to know whether that was the case so we can get Troy’s reply marked as the best answer - this helps to better surface it to others in the Community.
And if not, can you send over a screenshot of the full error message so we can get a better idea of what the issue is? Make sure to blur or remove all personal information (names, emails, addresses etc.) from any screenshots before sharing - you can use a tool like Zappy for that.
Thanks, I look forward to your reply!
Hi, sorry for not responding sooner but yes that did solve the issue! I had the AI assistant turned on to record meeting transcript and it was saving both that and the recording file in the zip so Zapier wasn’t able to make the connection to YouTube. I’ve since turned off the transcript recording feature and it’s been working fine! Thank you for the help :)
That’s great news
