Zoho Webinar Response fields not updating

I have previously set up zaps for Zoho webinars. When a new person registers, the registration information is populated in a few places.

Those webinars have passed an new webinars have been scheduled. Along with the new webinars, some new and modified fields are being gathered. When I try to pull those fields to map in later steps, they aren’t populating in zapier. The same sample record is being pulled over and over again despite new test submissions. I’m limited to mapping the fields that were already present in older zaps.

In addition to refreshing and trying to pull new records multiple times, I’ve tried creating a zap from scratch, adding a new zoho connection, guessing the field parameters, letting the AI agent build the whole thing - all with no luck.

Is there a trick to forcing those new fields to recognize? My next step is to hunt for those fields through the API console in Zoho. That’s pushing my technical chops, so I’m hoping there is a way to do it within the UI.

Hey @tusl

This is a common webinar trigger issue and you’re not doing anything wrong.

Zapier often keeps using the original sample data, so new or changed Zoho fields don’t show up. Make sure the trigger is pointing to the new webinar, then submit a fresh test registration with all new fields filled and click “Load more” or “Pull in new sample.”

If that doesn’t work, turn the Zap on, submit a real registration, then turn it back off and re open the next steps. That usually forces fresh data.

If the fields still don’t appear, the Zoho integration may not expose them yet. In that case, Webhooks by Zapier is the workaround.

Hi @tusl

Try this approach…

How to use a live Zap Run as a Zap trigger record to configure Zap action step:
