I have a simple Zap that reads a Google Calendar and sends a reminder message before meetings.

The Zap sends messages correctly to the version of Google Chat that’s built into Gmail but no messages are recieved on the standalone Google Chat app (Windows 11). Normally, chats are received simultanously on both.

I’m looking for a solution to either:

  1. Send to both standalone and built-in version at the same time
  2. Send just to the standalone version

Thanks for any pointers.

Hi there @AssafEO,

Welcome to the Community! 🎉

Before we dig deeper into this, could you please provide a loom.com video of this behavior? This will help me look closer at the issue you’re running into.

Thank you!

Hi @AssafEO 👋

It’s been a while since we heard from you on this, were you since able to get things working?

If yes, would you mind sharing details of the solution you put in place? This would be super helpful to others running into similar issues with Google Chat messages. 🙂

If no, as the message was received by the in-built version I wonder if the issue may lie with the standalone app version itself. It might be that there’s a delay in when it received messages that are sent via it’s API. Or it could be that there’s an issue with the currently installed version. Can you try reinstalling the standalone Google Chat app, and ensure it’s running the latest version to see if that fixes things?

Looking forward to hearing from you!
