Hi all! This is my first time using Zapier, and I’m having trouble getting it to work.

I set up this workflow: New Lead Gen Form Response (LinkedIn Ads - LinkedIn event) > Create Webinar Registrant (Zoom) > Create Contact (HubSpot) > Add Attendee(s) to Event (Google Calendar) > Create Engagement (HubSpot - create task)

With the test user, everything went well. They’re added to the Zoom Webinar as a user, they’re created as a contact in HubSpot, they’re sent an invitation to the Google Calendar event, and a HubSpot task is created for them. But since creating the Zap, people have registered on LinkedIn, and none of the other steps have been followed.

What am I doing wrong??

Hi @ShowmanFred,

Welcome to the Community.

If your Zap isn't working as expected, ensure it's turned on, as it won't trigger otherwise. Then, check the task history to see if the Zap ran, what data was processed, and whether any errors occurred. If everything looks fine, try testing each step individually by creating a test lead on LinkedIn to confirm that actions like Zoom, HubSpot, or Google Calendar are executing correctly.

If you're still having trouble, please provide us with more detailed screenshots of your Zap setup, and we'll be more than happy to assist you further.

Hey @ShowmanFred, just checking in—were you able to get this sorted?

If not, are you seeing any errors in the Zap history when the Zap runs? If so can you send us a screenshot of the error so we can get a better idea of what might be causing some trouble. Make sure to blur or remove all personal information (names, emails, addresses etc.) from screenshots before sharing.

And if there’s nothing in the Zap history, then it could be that the Zap is failing to trigger. 🤔 In which case, I’d recommend seeing if it’s due to one of the common causes outlined here: Zap isn't triggering. As well as, checking out our My Zap stopped receiving leads, but it's still turned on LinkedIn Ads guide too.

Keen to help get things sorted, so please keep us posted on how it’s going! 🙂
