Hey guys,

I am automating Monday board with Zapier. I’ve done everything so far but it’s not working as expected. The idea is when a status of a column changes to something Zapier will trigger email. However, in order to chose to what the column will change I had to add anther step in between with Filter by Zapier. No matter what I chose in Monday it will trigger the email, but I want it to do so only if the value is Yes for example. Here is my config:

 Thanks,

Z

Hi @ZhivkoZhelev

You basically have the filter conditions comparing to the same value, so that will always evaluate to true.

Remove the bottom mapped variable.

Try using a static value or a different variable.

@Troy, I tried multiple different things, but yet I struggle, I’ve changed to the below, but again it will trigger email even the status is No in Monday:

@ZhivkoZhelev

  1. Remove the bottom mapped variable.
  2. Type in a static value for the bottom condition input.
    1. e.g.: Yes

So it reads like: kStatus] ‘exactly matches’ “Yes”

@Troy, I tried this too yesterday, same result, maybe I need to find out whether these statuses are actually corresponding with the correct fields in Monday, but have no idea how to do that

@ZhivkoZhelev

Try turning the Zap ON and test live.

Then check your Zap Runs history details to see the DATA IN/OUT for each step: https://zapier.com/app/history/

@Troy,

appears that the problem is I am using free subscription and it does not support multi-event Zaps, tried with webhook, but the result is the same.

Cheers,

Zhivko

@ZhivkoZhelev

In order to use a Filter step in a Zap, you would need a Zapier paid plan to turn the Zap ON.

Hi @ZhivkoZhelev,

We just wanted to see how everything is going with your Zap. Did Troy's recommendation get the job done? Feel free to reach out if you need further assistance with your Zap. We're glad to address any concerns and assist you.

We're looking forward to your response.

@JammerS, thanks for the follow up. I had to look for another solution and moved away from Zapier as the free version does not support webhooks and multi-step zaps.

Cheers,

Zhivko

I’m sorry to hear that @ZhivkoZhelev, but I’m glad you found a solution that works for you! 🙌

It would be great if Webhooks and Multi-step Zaps were available on the Free plan, so I’ve shared your comments with the team to highlight the need for expanding its capabilities.

If you ever decide to explore Zapier again, we’d be happy to help! Wishing you all the best with your current solution in the meantime. 🙂
