I want to send a reminder message 1 hour before a Google calendar event (that clients can book through appointment booking link) via Gmail.  But I can’t seem to get the proper event populating. It keeps showing the default “Test Event”.

I’ve already to checked to make sure:

  1. Search term is matching the title of the event
  2. Sample event is in advance of the reminder time

What else could be causing this issue?

Hi @bloomkr

For us to have more info, post screenshots with how your Zap steps are outlined and configured in EDIT mode.

Thank you. I’ve added all the screenshots of configuration plus the booking page of google calendar where the event is scheduled in advance of the reminder time.  Unfortunately, the record isn’t populating (only test@example.com).

Step 1: setting up calendar event

Step 2: Setting up gmail action event
Step 3: Configuring details of gmail inputs part 1

Step 4: Configuring details of gmail inputs part 2
Step 5: Checking records (only test@example.com is showing up)

@bloomkr

Try publishing the Zap so the Zap is turned ON.

Then test LIVE.

Check your Zap Runs history to see the DATA IN/OUT for each Zap step to help you trace the data flow between steps and troubleshoot: https://zapier.com/app/history/

Hi @bloomkr👋

How are things going on this? When the Zap was switched on did it continue to only populate the emails using the same test event data or did it use the correct event information?

Keen to ensure this gets sorted so please let us know whether you’re still stuck or not - happy to assist further! 🙂
