I am trying to automate uploading to different youtube accounts. My client gave me access to their 28 youtube accounts but they granted me access only with my email. Issue is when I go to apps and then youtube, I find my email but it doesnt give me options for clients youtube accounts once I connect my email. They wont give me their passwords , only granted me access. Anyone had this issue and worked it out, please help! Please and thanks!

Hi @MyndsetMedia, welcome to the Zapier Community 👋

From what you described, you’re likely running into a YouTube permission limitation.

Why this is happening

YouTube currently has two different permission models, and only one of them works with Zapier.

✅ Works with Zapier:

Brand Accounts

If the YouTube channels are set up as Brand Accounts, and your client adds you as:

  • Owner or Manager (on the Brand Account, not just in Studio) then those channels should appear as options when you connect YouTube in Zapier using your email.

👉 Docs:

❌ Does NOT work with Zapier:

Studio Permissions

If your client added you via YouTube Studio permissions (Editor / Manager in Studio):

  • You will not see those channels in Zapier

  • Even though you can manage them in YouTube Studio

  • This is because only channel Owners can access the YouTube API under this permission model

👉 Docs (see limitations):

https://support.google.com/youtube/answer/9481328#zippy=%2Climitations

Zapier currently cannot access channels where you’re only a Studio Manager/Editor.

What your client needs to do

They don’t need to share passwords, but they do need to do one of the following:

  1. Convert each channel to a Brand Account (if it isn’t already), then
  2. Add your email as an Owner or Manager on the Brand Account (not just Studio access)

Once that’s done, please reconnect YouTube in Zapier and the channels should appear.

Hope this helps 😄

Hi, saw your post about granting access to client YouTube accounts. Curious - are you uploading videos manually to each account individually, or using a script to automate this process? I built something similar for an e-commerce client that uploads 50+ videos daily across multiple channels. More on what we do: https://falconai-io.netlify.app
