So, I wanted to create a forwarding rule on my Gmail account to a Zapier Mailhook, but unfortunately, the confirmation link email is not being sent to Zapier’s Mailhook, nor can I receive the confirmation email inside the Zap history. Is there a way to fix this issue? I believe Zapier is blocking all emails from Google with the email address of forwarding-noreply@g*gle.com. Is there another way to receive the confirmation code for a Zapier Mailhook?

Here’s a quick Loom recording of the issue.

Hi @mentor

Why not use Gmail as the Zap trigger app/event? (New Email Matching Search)

Thanks for the suggestion @Troy Tessalone  but in my case, my client has a private email with a lot of sensitive information, and they don’t want to share access to their Gmail. Thus, we created a mailhook using Zapier, where we will instruct the client to forward specific emails with a particular keyword directly to the Zapiermail address.

We’ve tested the Zapier mail trigger by manually sending emails, and it’s currently working fine. Therefore, we just want the Zapiermail address that we created to be the trigger whenever a specific email is forwarded to it.

A workaround to try would be using the Email Parser Zap app: https://zapier.com/apps/email-parser/integrations#triggers-and-actions
