Hi Zapier Support,

I’m having an issue where Zapier isn’t triggering on a scheduled employment status change from BambooHR.

Here's the situation:

  • I use the "Updated Employee" trigger from BambooHR and include field Employment Status to trigger.
  • Also I have same Zap steps but different trigger which is Terminated Employee and Updated Report
  • Next step is filter Employment status (Terminated/Terminated - Contractor
  • On June 28, I updated a user's Employment Status in BambooHR to change to “Terminated – Contractor” or “Terminated” (for other staff) with an effective date of June 30.
  • At 12:00 AM on June 30, BambooHR automatically applied the change as scheduled.

  •

  • However, Zapier did not trigger on June 30 12:00 AM system time
  •  It only triggers if I make the change in the BambooHR manually on the same day the termination is effective.

Could you confirm:

Does the “Updated Employee” trigger only work for manual updates, not scheduled/automated ones?

  • Is there any workaround besides Zap with a BambooHR custom report because I did this also and it didn’t work.

Thanks in advance!

Hi @Syamil Sumairi

Check the app Status pages incident history for recent/ongoing incidents that may be impacting…

Hi @Syamil Sumairi 👋

Did you reach out to BambooHR’s Support team as Troy suggested? If so, were they able to confirm why their webhooks aren’t being sent on scheduled updates?

If not, I’d suggest reaching out to our Support team so they can check the logs for your Zap in case there’s any further information there as to why the Zap isn’t triggering in those cases.

Keep us posted on how you’re getting on with this, keen to make sure this gets sorted!
