Zapier Integration with Google Chat Suddenly Stopped Working (500 Error)

Anyone else having the same problem as me? My Zapier has an integration with Upvoty and Google Chat. Recently, it simply stopped working and shows the following error:
 

Failed to create a create in Google Chat

Got 500 calling POST https://zapier-bot-production.appspot.com/notify, expected 2xx.

 

The Google Workspace settings are correctly configured, and there are no permission restrictions preventing Zapier from posting to Spaces. The integration was working as expected, but it suddenly stopped and started returning this error. Additionally, Zapier no longer appears as an app when we try to add it to a Space.

For us to have more info about the error, post screenshots showing how your Zap step 2 is configured in the CONFIGURE tab while in EDIT mode so we can see the field mappings and field types.

As Sparsh said, it appears you’re running into the bug being discussed in that other Community thread. I went ahead and added you to the list of folks being affected, so we can send you an email notification as soon as it’s resolved.

In the meantime, I wanted to share Joao Cardoso’s solution from the other thread in case it’s helpful to you in get things working again:

Hello everyone,

I had the same issue

You are probably trying to send messages in a chat with a different account than the authorized one.
 

In google chat you need to allow the correct account to send zapiers, needs to be the same one you connected to Zapier (not just allow zapier in the chat).

A chat can have multiple accounts authorized to send zapiers messages, to allow a new account in Google Chat type /zapier_settings, this command will show the option to allow Zaps with your current account (user).
