I continue to receive the error below when trying to set up a trigger from any app to TaxDome to set up or update an Account.

“Failed to create an account in TaxDome The app returned "403".”

I don’t receive this error for creating new contacts.

Basically, I’m trying to automate my leads pipeline from my calendar scheduler (freebusy.io) to Taxdome so that new contacts and ideally new accounts are set up. This way I can easily move them to the leads pipeline I am using to track prospects.

Zapier doesn’t integrate with freebusy.io (yet) but Zoho CRM does - so I’ve used Zoho CRM to pick up the leads from freebusy.io and then it sets up a contact in TaxDome. But the Account process - no luck. TaxDome doesn’t even allow the configure tab to let me map data to TaxDome for the Zap. So when the error happens it’s described in detail as not pushing the correct data to TaxDome - but Zapier doesn’t seem to give the option to provide the data to TaxDome.

I’m copying this note to TaxDome support too, maybe this way they can coordinate on “whose” problem it is instead of putting me in the middle to do their testing for them.

Hi @milaan1

For us to have more info, post these screenshots:

  • how your Zap steps are outlined
  • how your Zap steps are configured in EDIT mode with the field mappings visible
  • the encountered Zap step error

Hi @milaan1 👋

Just came across this and it looks like you’re running into a bug with the TaxDome app. I compared the available fields for the Create Account and Create Contact actions, and the Create Account action doesn’t appear to have any fields available to allow you to specify the values you want to use to create an account:

So I expect that’s why you’re not seeing a “Configure” tab for that action.

There’s a bug report for this issue that’s been shared with the app’s developers, so I’ve added you to the list of folks that are impacted. I can’t give any sort of ETA as to when the developers of the TaxDome app will be able to get it resolved but we’ll definitely notify you by email once they do!

Sorry to not have an immediate fix or workaround to suggest at this time. If there’s anything else we can help with in the meantime, please let us know!
