Zapier Error: New Contacts registering with my email instead of theirs

I’m fairly confident my suggestion will be correct, but if you can add a screenshot of the “configuration” tab of the zap where you typed your email, that will make sure I’m giving you the best advice.

Anyways, where you typed your address, you should type “/” or click the 3-dots next to the field and enter dynamic data. From there, you will choose the email address of the contact given from the previous step(s) and/or trigger.

Thank you- is here the place you mean?  I first added my info, then put in fiels like first name etc but it populated my info 

Yep, that’s the spot. You should be able to click on the plus sign and choose the dynamic value for email from the ActiveCampaign trigger. If it’s not there, make sure you have “tested” the trigger and pulling in test data. 

thanks! when i press it it gives me the dynamic but has my info in it i think thats what the issue is. is there a wasy to put the dymanic value in without it pulling my name, email etc?

It’s been a while since you posted, so I’m guessing you might have already sorted this out. In case you haven’t, I wanted to mention that it’s possible to modify the test records from a trigger step. So you could change the values in the selected fields to use a different name and email while testing in the Zap..
