Forum|alt.badge.img

Hello Community,

We need to connect Zapier with our staging website so to test triggers.

We tried to connect the staging url with username and application password but we get a 404 error.

Thanks in advance for any help :)

Hi @21Optical,

Welcome to the Community.

To connect your staging website to Zapier via a Webhook or API call, a 404 error indicates that Zapier can't find the specified URL. Verify that the URL and API endpoint are correct, ensure your authentication credentials (username and password) are accurate, and check for potential issues like firewall rules or server settings blocking Zapier's access. Also, confirm your SSL certificate is valid if using HTTPS. If problems persist, provide more details about your trigger and platform for further assistance. Please send us a screenshot and obscure any sensitive information for security purposes.

We'll be looking forward to your response.

Hi there, @21Optical 👋

Were you able to get the WooCommerce account connection working in the end?

If not, I’ll share the instructions that Support team often suggest to help resolve those type of 404 WooCommerce authentication errors in case it helps:

  1. Please ensure that the WooCommerce Zapier plugin is installed and activated in your WordPress dashboard.
  2. Check your WordPress permalinks settings. You can do this by logging into your WordPress admin area and going to 'Settings' > 'Permalinks'. Make sure any option other than 'Plain' is selected.
  3. If you have shown pretty permalinks, and have downloaded the plugin, make sure you also activated the license in Woocomerce. How to check if the license is active here - https://woocommerce.com/document/woocommerce-zapier/#install-or-update-issues.
  4. Ensure you are connected to a live website and not a temporary launch site.

Do let us know if you found a different solution or are running into other issues—want to make sure you’re all set! 🙂
