I am trying to connect a Zapier Chat bot to a slack channel. I have the input set as a new chat into the channel, and the output set to what was recommended (see below). The challenge is that the chatbot itself is wired to request some basic information if a prompt doesn’t provide it, and when ever I put in a new prompt, it seems to get stuck in a loop where it posts the same chatbot generated auto-prompt, like its not recognizing that my answer to the first prompt isn’t a new prompt, any thoughts/experiences here?

Hi @bkbwyo,

Welcome to the Community.

The chatbot may treat its responses as new prompts, causing a loop. To fix this, ensure the Zap trigger is set to "New Message Posted to Channel" instead of "New Message Posted Anywhere," use a Filter step to ignore the bot's messages, and verify the chatbot's logic includes a condition to break the loop when the user's response meets expectations. Review the chatbot's logic to ensure it correctly recognizes when a prompt has been answered.

I hope this helps. Let me know if you have any other questions.
