Hello,
I’ve setup an Email by Zapier to Create Document from Text workflow. It works when I test it manually, but emails from my online form (noreply@example.myenotice.com) don’t trigger the zap. I can get the zap to create documents if I email the address directly from my Outlook account.

Is there some kind of spam prevention happening here that would keep my form emails from getting this to run?

Thanks for any help you can provide.

My best guess is it’s not firing off of noreply senders. I’ll try to work around that somehow.

Instead of triggering off of Email by Zapier, could I have it trigger off of particular emails in my gmail account instead?

As is, this feature’s useless to me if it’s filtering out things it thinks are spam.

Switching to scanning my Gmail trash folder worked. Thank you!

Wait, is this going to eat up a task everytime it reads an incoming email?

So pleased to see Troy was able to point you in the right direction here @Emmert 🎉

Wait, is this going to eat up a task everytime it reads an incoming email?

The Gmail trigger itself would not use up any tasks. It’s only successful actions that are run (with the exception of actions for certain apps like Zapier Tables, Filter, Formatter etc.) that would incur any task usage. Check out our How is task usage measured in Zapier? guide for more details.

Hope that helps to clarify. Let us know if you have any further questions! 🙂
