For some reason, my ZAP isn’t working. I am connecting Stripe to Flodesk and using a filter so only include certain purchases (with the word “chicago” in the description). Can you help?
I can see that zapier tried to connect as the email example@zapier.com is in the segment (from a test?)
but it says “bounced” in Flodesk.
Could you please add a little more detail about what specific issue you are facing? As it is unclear whether you are facing issues in the Filter step or Flodesk.
If you want to filter by Address then you can add the filter on Address instead of Description.
If you are facing Issues in Flodesk, kindly review the parameters you are providing to Create/Update Subscriber,
review if the info provided by Stripe on successful payment has the necessary info to Create/Update Subscriber in Flodesk
Thank you! This is what I’m seeing so I’m not sure where the problem is…

Your Zap seems to be setup correctly, I suggest you remove the loom video as it contains some of your sensitive information such as personal email etc.
Zapier is using dummy data for this as there is no real data to use for the New Payment Trigger, as soon as someone makes a payment that data should be shown here.
Your filter step is blocking because there is no word ‘chicago’ in the dummy description provided by Zapier.
The final step also seems to be working correctly, although when you test it then it will send dummy data to flodesk as there is no real data.
You can Publish Your zap and review it after someone makes a payment, Hopefully it will work fine, you can make modifications afterwards.
Thank you! Two payments have been tested (I did them myself with a promo code) and the zap didn’t work. What do you suggest?
Are the two payments showing in the Records of the zapier step when your refresh, Or you can check the zap run history and it will help you in understanding whether the zap ran or not, whether it was filtered by the second step. etc.
Also if there are no records then try waiting a little as sometimes there is a little delay, Recheck if you have connected the right stripe account, try re-connecting it.
When You use Promo for full discount then a New Payment is not created in Stripe, although a new Invoice is generated, so that might be why you are not seeing the records, try changing the Stripe action to new invoice and then Refresh to get the records, if the records are showing for the two Promo payments that you made then, it means that zapier does not trigger a new payment event when a Promo with 100% percent discount is used as no actual payment occurs, although it creates an invoice for that.
Which will mean that you have set it up correctly but there are no actual payments that have occurred yet.
Thank you! how do i delete any of my comments above to remove the Loom? I can’t see that option...
Yes there is no option here to delete the comments, you can delete the video from the loom side though.
Thank you. I redid this and tested a $1 payment and it still isn’t working. Is there a Stripe ID I can find somewhere that I could use for these? I think the issue is the word I was targeting isn’t in the description so I can’t use that as a target with the filter
Maybe this will help you setup the proper test mode.

Yes, I do understand how to test it. I’m just trying to figure out something that is an identifier for the cart Because it’s a price point on quite a few of my products
For example, is there a Stripe ID for each cart that will help identify it in Zapier?
Hi
I’m jumping in to see if I can help!
Before we dig deeper into this, could you please check the Zap History to see if there’s any Zap runs? I don’t see any issues with your Zap setup.
I'll be keeping an eye out for your response!
