I am trying to publish a Zap and it says it cannot be turned on

Hi @BEV

Help link for things to check/try: https://help.zapier.com/hc/en-us/articles/8496199466125-Can-t-turn-on-or-publish-Zap

Thanks. I have upgraded and as far as i can see Xero and Commerce7 are connected via the Dionysus App

Hi @BEV,

We just wanted to see how everything is going with your Zap. Did Troy's recommendation get the job done? Feel free to reach out if you need further assistance with your Zap. We're glad to address any concerns and assist you.

We're looking forward to your response.

Hi Jammer

Unfortunately, it is still not turning on. I have tested the connection and it gets a tick to say it works. There are three connections

  1. Commerce7
  2. Xero
  3. Dionysus - which is the 3rd party integration that allows Zapier to work with Commerce7

Hi @BEV,

If your Zap involving Commerce7, Xero, and Dionysus isn't turning on, it could be connection or configuration issues. Ensure each app is authenticated correctly, review the Zap setup for errors, and check Zap history for failed tasks. Confirm that Dionysus is correctly integrated, and ensure all apps are updated. Testing each step individually can help isolate the problem. If the issue persists, contact Zapier support with detailed setup information and any error messages.

Please let us know if you have any questions or need further assistance. We're here to help.

I have switched to the Tree Frog Digital app as I got no response from Dionysus. It now works with a variable, but the price is incorrect as it doesn't take the decimal point across, so 100.00 is shown as 10000.

Any ideas? Can I create a formula for the Item_Price that divides it by 100?

Hi @BEV,

You're encountering a formatting issue where prices like 100.00 are interpreted as 10000 due to a missing decimal point. To fix this, use Zapier's Formatter with a math operation to divide the value by 100, restoring the correct decimal placement. Add a Formatter step, choose "Numbers," set it to "Perform Math Operation," and divide the input by 100. Then use this corrected value in the rest of your Zap. Be sure to test the Zap and keep input formatting consistent to avoid future issues.

Hi James.

I have been travelling for 2 weeks but have not managed to solve this problem. I have been using the Formatter, but I need to use the spreadsheet function to divide by 100. The Formatter test appears to be working, but the number in Xero remains unchanged. Can you give me any further advice?

Hi @BEV,

If Zapier's Formatter isn't updating a record in Xero after dividing a number by 100, start by verifying that the Formatter step is correctly mapped and using the "Numbers" action. Ensure the formatted output is appropriately linked to Xero, and run tests for each step to confirm data flow. Check that Xero's field mapping aligns with the expected value, review Zap history for errors, and consider reauthorizing the Xero connection if needed. Lastly, ensure the formatted number is compatible by using two decimal places for currency values.

I hope these steps help you resolve the issue with your Zap. If you have any more questions or need further assistance, feel free to ask.

Sorry, but I'm not a programmer. Where do I check the Xero mapping?

Can I format multiple inputs simultaneously, or does each require a separate formatter step?

Hi @BEV,

To check Xero mapping in Zapier, open the Zap, navigate to the action step involving Xero, and map fields from the trigger app. Use the "Test" feature to confirm the correct data flow. For formatting multiple inputs, use "Formatter by Zapier," adding separate Formatter steps for each data point. Configure formatting options like text, numbers, or dates, then test to ensure accuracy before proceeding.

I hope this helps. Let us know if you have further questions so we can assist you. Thank you
