So I set up a zap to send any new WP users  to system.io and tag them with ‘new registration’ when I test the zap it not only tags them with new registration but another tag I have in my list but have not selected to be added?

Any ideas why?

Hi @Clarabella80, hope you’re doing well! 😀

If your Zap is adding an unintended tag in system.io along with the 'new registration' tag, here are some steps you can take to troubleshoot and resolve the issue:

  1. Review Zap Configuration:

    • Double-check the Zap setup to ensure that only the 'new registration' tag is selected in the action step. Sometimes, multiple tags might be inadvertently selected.
  2. Check for Additional Actions:

    • Make sure there are no additional actions in the Zap that might be adding other tags. Each step in the Zap should be reviewed to confirm that only the desired actions are being performed.
  3. Inspect Conditions and Filters:

    • Look for any conditions or filters that might be affecting the tag assignment. Ensure that these are correctly set up to only apply the 'new registration' tag.
  4. Check for Duplicated Zaps:

    • Verify that there are no duplicate Zaps that might also be running and adding the additional tag.

If the issue persists after these checks, you might want to contact our support for more detailed assistance. We’ll be able to provide insights specific to your Zap configuration.

Hope this helps 😊

Hey @Clarabella80 ,

Can you share the screenshot on how did you setup the action?

Hey @jayeshkumarbhatia here is the system.io part of the zap and also the test results that show the Inner Bloom tag that has been added randomly

I’ve just created another zap to send new orders from woo commerce to system.io and tag them - this time when I test it, it shows 3 tags, Inner Bloom, New Registration & Purchased...how do I make it just add the one tag per zap :-)

Hey @Clarabella80 ,

Try with a new customer and check if you still face the same issue or not. There can be a chance this tags already exists for this customer on systems.io and that’s you are able to see additional tags

All Sorted! User error 🙂 Thanks everyone!

Hi @Clarabella80,

It's great news that you've been able to solve the issue!

Would you be able to share what was going wrong, in case anyone else runs into this issue?

Thanks 😀

Sure

I was testing multiple scenarios with the same email address - therefore tags were already applied and the new tag was being added on top - hence the multiple tags. Once I tested with different email addresses the problem went away - told you user error LOL
