I am trying to create an automation to send Deal info from my CRM (Attio) into a Google Sheet. I’m trying to create two separate Zaps to do this:

  1. A Zap that triggers when a new deal is created in Attio, then populates the info to a new row in a Google Sheet
  2. A Zap that triggers when a deal is updated in Attio, then finds the row in the Google Sheet and updates it

Both of these Zaps work in test mode perfectly, with no errors. However, whenever I try to turn either of them on (separately or simultaneously) they get turned off immediately and I receive an auto-email saying “Your Zap Could Not Be Turned On” with no error or explanation for why?

It doesn’t seem to be an issue with the Zaps interfering with each other because they get turned off even if I only turn on one at a time. I have another Zap that involves an Attio step that runs just fine so I don’t think it’s a credentials issue.

Any ideas?

Hi @ramseys .

Daniel here from Zapier support.

Most issues I’ve seen with Zaps with Attio triggers getting turned off were due to the API Key not having the correct scope and permissions. The required scope for API Keys is “Read-Write access” to the Webhooks scope.

Admins can grant additional scopes to the API key at Workspace settings -> Developers -> lintegration] -> Scopes.

This help guide from Attio explains how to change the permissions on an API key: https://attio.com/docs/generating-an-api-key.

Once you've adjusted the API Key permissions, you'll need to reconnect the Attio connection on Zapier - https://zapier.com/app/connections/attio

Can you give that a try?
