Hi, We are using Zapier to send notifications to our internal Slack whenever someone posts or modifies content on our Wordpress website. However, whenever we post updated content, we get the following error messages from Zapier.

“Error while hydrating data from WordPress: The Zapier WordPress plugin has not been activated on this WordPress site. Please install and activate it first: https://zapier.com/help/doc/how-get-started-wordpress-zapier.”

The Zapier plug-in is activated, and we are seeing the content updates in Slack, but any new content that we post to the website is also generating this error.

I’ve searched around quite a bit and can’t seem to find a fix. The Zapier plug-in is installed and activated (version 1.5.1). We are on version 6.6 of Wordpress (upgrading to 6.7 this week).

We do use Wordfence on the site and I’ve seen that this could cause problems, but I can’t seem to find a fix for that either.

Welcome to the Community @imlazar🎉

Ah yes, we’ve seen this error come up a few times in the Community! There’s a few different suggestions mentioned in this thread in particular that you might want to check out—if you’ve not done so already:

Also, I’d recommend checking out the details mentioned in this WooCommerce Zapier Compatibility > Wordfence Security guide:

Although it’s written with WooCommerce in mind, as it integrates with Zapier I expect the suggested solution there may help to prevent Wordfence from causing issues in your case as well.

Can you give all that a try and keep us in the updated on how you get on? Keen to ensure this issue gets sorted!

this is great, thank you!
