Hello,

first id like to thank everyone at community and zapier for prompt support for all cases that we had so far.

Now we have a problem with the following message on Wordpress:” This account connection is expired. You'll need to reconnect the account before continuing. Learn more. Reconnect this account”

We reconnect the account and it work for about an hour or so then we get disconnected again.

Please help us out. We tried everything what we could think of.

Thanks

Hi @Komponentko,

Welcome to the Community.

If you're experiencing issues connecting your WordPress account to Zapier, it may be due to an authentication token problem. To resolve it, check your WordPress settings and security plugins, reauthorize the connection fully, and ensure no plugin conflicts exist. Also, update your WordPress and plugins, confirm user permissions, and review connection limits. If the issue continues, contact Zapier support with detailed information for further help.

If you have any further questions, feel free to ask. We're here to help.

Hi there, @Komponentko 👋

Just came across this and wanted to check in—were you able to resolve this? Would love ot hear what the fix was if you managed to sort it 🙏

If not, do you have any plugins or server settings enabled that might be caching your WordPress site? Asking as I did some digging and found a report of this sort issue happening for someone that had Dynamic Caching enabled and disabling it fixed the problem.

If there isn’t anything like that enabled on your end I’d recommend reaching out to our Support team to get this investigated further.

Keen to ensure this gets sorted, so please keep us posted on how you’re getting on!

I have been experiencing the same problem over the past week or two. The connection keeps dropping even after our successfully reconnecting. We didn’t change anything in the back end, it is not clear why this is suddenly happening.

Hi @Chazz,

It looks like you have reached out to our Support Team regarding this issue and they replied with a suggestion today. I’d recommend continuing the conversation with our Support Team via email since they have the correct tools to look closer at the Zap and its logs.

I appreciate your patience and understanding.

Did anyone get a solution to this? It's driving me insane.

We’re having the same issue. It’s gotten so bad that we are now engaging with people to migrate us to Webflow.

I’m so sorry we missed your replies here @bo28190 and @willgendron. If you’re still having some trouble with your WordPress connections expiring frequently it may be best to reach out to our Support team directly so they can investigate further, in case there’s a bug that’s causing this. Keep us updated on how you get on with them, want to make sure this gets solved!

And @Komponentko and @Chazz, just wanted to double-check whether you managed to get it fixed? 🙏

I’ve bypassed the Zapier plugin entirely and used a custom webhook which works a treat.

I found a work around on WP if you are interested.

Really glad to hear you were able to get around the issue by using Webhooks instead @bo28190 - awesome work! 🙌

We’d love it if you could share details of the webhook set up here when you get a chance. It would be super useful for others that are running into these issues with Wordpress 🙏

SOLVED

  1. In Zapier choose ‘Webhooks by Zapier’ app
  2. Choose ‘Catch Hook’ in trigger event
  3. Skip configure settings unless you need them (I didn’t need them)
  4. On test tab, copy the ‘Your webhook URL’ to clipboard
  5. Add new wp plugin: https://en-gb.wordpress.org/plugins/wp-webhooks/
  6. In plugin settings > click ‘Send Data’ and choose your desired trigger event e.g. User Created
  7. Click ‘Add webhook url’
  8. Give the webhook a name and paste the webhook url from step 4.
  9. Click add
  10. Go back to zapier to finish off your zap
