Whenever using trying to link the wordpress account on zapier to send information to wordpress, I get this error:

We have confirmed that the account being used is an adminstrator for wordpress, and attempted many solutions. Below is a list of the current wordpress plugins:

  1. Zapier for WordPress
  2. WP LinkedIn Auto Publish
  3. Public Post Preview
  4. Press This
  5. Page Optimize
  6. MailPoet
  7. Layout Grid
  8. Jetpack
  9. Gutenberg
  10. Crowdsignal Forms
  11. CoBlocks
  12. Akismet Anti-spam: Spam Protection

Any ideas on how to fix this? We have attempted disabling every plugin, however, we still get the error.

Hey @jason.a,

Here is a helpful article about common problems with Wordpress in Zapier- https://help.zapier.com/hc/en-us/articles/8495969550989-Common-Problems-with-WordPress

Try following the tips from the article to see if it fixes your authentication issue. Some of the common errors are not having sufficient permissions and XML-RPC not enabled if using an older version. Hope it helps!

chiming in here.

try using application password.

you can find it or create one under User - Profile on your WordPress.

if you don’t see that option, a security plugin is highly likely hiding it.

disable security plugin and check User - Profile again
