I am trying to configure a Zap that integrates PayPal and Salesforce. Transactions are initiated on my website, which runs on WordPress and uses the WooCommerce plugin. Customers have the option of completing a one-time transaction or setting up a recurring/monthly transaction.

I am having issues getting a successful PayPal transaction (both one-time and recurring) to trigger my Zap so that I can send transaction details to Salesforce. I believe this is an IPN issue, as the IPN URL has already been set in PayPal. I have tried to follow Zapier’s multiple IPN documentation, but have not yet been successful. Any ideas of what I could be doing wrong? Am I missing a step? Thanks in advance!

current configuration of the Zap - used the old IPN URL found in the IPN notification history in PayPal

HI @laurenh64

One option to consider is switching from PayPal to Stripe to get more features and functionality with payment processing.

@Troy Tessalone, thanks for your reply! Unfortunately, switching to Stripe is not an option for us at this time. Any chance you have other suggestions for troubleshooting my current Zap?

@laurenh64

Do you have the Headers set?

@Troy Tessalone Yes, the Headers are set according to Zapier’s guide.

@Troy Tessalone It appears that the issue is possibly related to transaction type. The Zap has triggered successfully a few times when txn_type=send_money. It does not trigger, however, when the txn_type=cart or when txn_type=subscr_payment.
