hi zapier people, 

 

newbie zapier user here. 

 

I built a zapier workflow mainly doing ai summary and translation 

the work flow work like this 

first the work flow is triggered by google sheet adding a role 

then a series of ai summary and extraction is executed 

at last the extracted and summarized info are filled in my notion form. 

 

everything works out fine except the pull up time in the first step 

 

I noticed that whenever i am adding a new role in the google sheet 

the following actions are not being perforned instantly 

 

the delay can be up to 10- 30 min 

 

does someone know why

May I ask which Zapier plan you are currently using? Zapier typically uses polling triggers, which means it checks for changes at regular intervals, usually every 15 minutes on the free or lower-tier plans. As a result, if you add a new row, the Zap won’t trigger until the next polling cycle.

You may want to consider upgrading your plan or using Zapier Webhooks with a custom script to send the data directly to the Zap.

Was the delay in triggering due to the Zap using polling triggers as Sync9-Solutions suggested?

If not, it could be that there was a temporary delay in Google sending over the new row information to the Zap. Are you still seeing these delays in the Zap triggering?
