Question

Why can I only keep one Zap active on my Professional trial?

On your Professional trial, I should be able to run unlimited Zaps at the same time, so there's no plan limitation causing this. when I turn one Zap on, the other grays out and won't stay active.

Hi @amztampa

I checked Zapier's official documentation, and I couldn't find anything stating that a Professional trial limits the number of active Zaps.

So what you're experiencing—where turning one Zap on causes another to gray out—is not documented as standard trial behavior. This could be:

  1. A technical glitch – try refreshing, logging out and back in, or clearing your browser cache

  2. A payment method requirement – some restrictions lift only after adding a payment method

  3. Something else specific to your account – Zapier Support can help diagnose

If you're still running into issues, drop a screenshot of what you're seeing and a quick description of what your Zaps are doing—happy to take a look!

And if you'd rather just get it sorted quickly, I offer a free 20-min Zapier troubleshooting call. Book it under Resources on my Zapier Directory profile: https://zapier.com/partnerdirectory/automatemybiz!-->

Pro trial has certain limitations as compared to the actual subscription. Here is the screenshot from Zapier’s own website (source)

Google AI also responded confirming your case - that some users may be limited to keeping only one Zap active during the trial period. But I couldn’t find this exact info on the website. Some one from the Zapier’s team should be able to confirm this. However, these limits do make sense so that people don’t abuse Zapier’s trial feature.

Hi there @amztampa 👋

That’s very strange, your account shouldn’t be limited to a single active Zap, even on a trial. Is this still happening or were you since able to get both Zaps enabled?

If it’s still not allowing both to be active at the same time I wonder if there might be a limit for an app that’s used in both Zaps which is being enforced by the app’s own API. For example, it could be that the trigger app only allows a set number of app connections to be used and that’s causing the other Zap to be switched off automatically. 🤔

What apps are the Zaps using? Happy to double-check whether there are any plan restrictions for those apps that might be causing this.
