im trying to connect manychat with zapier with webhook. I want to generate a reply with chatgpt in zapier then send that reply back to manychat using webhook, but when I add variables in data field. the error says: The error occurs because Zapier can't find or properly use the data from the previous step ({{300818445__response__content}}). it says I should re test the previously step and check mapping but I did everything and it seems fine

What is the link to the app API endpoint you used to configure the API request in the Zap step? 

FYI: It’s kind of hard to review the screenshot due to it being in dark mode.

Screenshot does not show all of the sections of the API request in the CONFIGURE tab to give us full context. (e.g. Headers)

You are missing 2 Headers:

  • accept: application/json
  • Content-Type: application/json

Also looks like your Data is not configured properly based on the API endpoint requirements.

Reference the links in the API endpoint documentation.

and what do I do with those data, I want to send back the AI response

If you aren’t sure how to interpret API endpoint documentation for how to configure an API request in a Zap step, then you may want to try these options:

  • ask ChatGPT for help for how to configure the API request
  • consider hiring help, there is a directory of Certified Zapier Experts: https://zapier.com/experts

Do I use the key-value structure in the zap and just type the things like id: (id variable)
or do it with custom request and raw json code?
chat gpt keep telling me that but even if I do that it still wont work

Attention! After March 4, 2020 requests without message tag may cause error

 

Try sharing screenshots of your Zap step config with ChatGPT to ask if that is correct.

ofc I did that and now im limited cause I have the free version of chat gpt, and when I do the exact steps it tells me then it just wont work,

The error in your Zap is likely due to missing or incorrect data being passed from the previous step

this is what I get every time, but I did the troubleshooting things and checked the previous steps in zapier and checked everything and it was fine, and now I dont know why it wont work.

Using app APIs in Zaps is an advanced approach that involves technical concepts.

Some app API endpoints are easier to configure than others because those have less requirements.

Every app API has different requirements for their combo of:

  • Method
  • URL
  • Data
    • Format, fields, values, etc.
  • Headers
    • Authentication

thats clean and I checked the document u sent about manychat I used that code but it didnt worked.

im really helpless now

where can I learn all these stuff cause chatgpt seems to be wrong, I keep getting this error no matter what I do, I even checked the manychat fields and created new ones.

or is there any other way to get chatgpt reply to manychat and then send it to the user on instagram?
