Short Version

Trigger: Webflow’s New form submission

Issue / Question: I have a section component which includes a form. I use this component on a bunch of different pages on my Webflow site. Can I set up my Zap to connect to one form (since it’s in a reusable component) and get submissions from all instances of that form?

Longer version

I got an email from Zapier about Webflow deprecating the v1 of their API, and that I needed to reconnect it. When I was reconnecting, I noticed that I had a bunch of different options with the same name (I’m interested in the “Newsletter CTA” form), but different id’s.

I have ‘newsletter CTA’ in a component, and use that component on a bunch of different pages on my site. I tried connecting one of them (the one ending in ‘a7e’, if that matters), made a test submission on my site, and tested the connection in Zapier. The test returned ‘no submissions found’.

I got an email from Webflow confirming the test submission went through, so no issues there
But it didn’t appear in Zapier.

Does this mean I need to set up a gazillion different Zaps, one for every instance of this form?

Here’s a screenshot of the form, in case it’s relevant.

If I do have to set up a separate zap for each of the gazillion form instance, I can work around it: triggering a Gmail Zap when I receive the Webflow confirmation email and using a formatter step to extract the email. That just feels...inelegant.

Same problem Here, Would love some help :)

Same problem here.

I suspect the problem is linked to the Account that is assigned to it in the Setup stage, but it won’t allow me to link to the right account. It keeps defaulting to another account which then produces all the different forms we need to link to.

Would appreciate a solution to this.

Same problem here.

Same here. I even have three choices for the same form on the same page, but only one can retrieve submissions. I would also love to get some help here.

We are having the same issue and it has totally interrupted our business flow. We have 6 instances of the same form component on the our site, each for a different region. Prior to the API upgrade, we were able to get the form data from webflow and pass it through Zapier to our salesforce with no issue. After the switch to the new API, we see almost 12 forms showing up in the Zapier, and the strange thing is, most of them are pulling data from more than just one instance of the form, but none of the options pull data from all instances of the form.

Zapier, please advise on how we can rectify this.

Same problem, would appreciate an update when this is explained/resolved.

Update: I looked at the Webflow forums and it’s the same story there - lots of people having the same issue, no real answers. I reached out to Webflow support, assuming the issue was on their end since it’s their API update. Here’s an excerpt from the response I got:

“Please note that that our team is aware of this and has already reported it to Zapier, as they created the connection.

They're working on improvements, with the support from our team, to get this connection back up and running as intended.

Zapier are resolving the issue and if you run into any further issues please do reach out to Zapier Support.”

So yeah, guess Zapier’s working on it.

Thanks for the update! Would be nice to get a response from Zapier on this topic as well.
