Web Parser Returns incorrect Page Title

Hello, I am using a Zap to grab the title of a page and then append it to a document. Everything is set-up correctly, it all works, but the Page title in some cases is not correct. Here are a few examples, where the page HTML structure is correct, and the <title>TITLE</title> is correct, but it grabs text from somewhere below…

  1. Page URL: https://hongkongvisageeza.com/what-can-be-said-to-constitute-ordinary-residence-for-the-purposes-of-a-hong-kong-right-of-abode-application/ - Title here is: 

     

  2. Zapier Return: New Content Daily Sign Up Here?!

 

 

 

Here is a different example from a random page, because we thought the problem was with our website…

  1. Page URL: https://www.educative.io/answers/how-to-add-a-link-to-an-image-in-html - Title is:
  2. Zapier Return: Educative Answers - Trusted Answers to Developer Questions?!

 

 

P.S. It doesn’t matter if it’s in test mode or published. Doesn’t matter if I parse as HTML, Plain Text or Markdown - it just doesn’t grab the Title…

Hello,

 

Support said they have reported the bug and that in the meantime I can use a Code step to grab the og:title from the MetaData. Can anyone please help with that?

I’m glad to hear our Support Team was able to determine the cause of the issue. 

To be fully transparent, our team is able to provide limited support with the Code action step. It's an advanced feature that can involve lots of custom code, and can quickly land outside of our scope of knowledge.
