WealthBox New Note Trigger "Invoke payload too large" error

when a new note is created in WealthBox, Zapier triggers on the note.  But even before the note is retrieved by Zapier, if the note is very large, the Zap can error out and can’t continue past Step 1. “Error while hydrating data from Wealthbox CRM: Invoke payload too large (14512486 bytes but max is 6291456 bytes).”  Has anyone else encountered this? How can I truncate the payload before it is ever retrieved? Is this considered a bug? See attached.

Hey @LLMiles,

I see a limit of 6 MB for triggers but 35 mb for new version. See more about it here-https://docs.zapier.com/platform/build/operating-constraints. Is it happening for every note or only big notes?

Might be a bug as well try reaching out to the Zapier support here-https://zapier.com/app/get-help. Hope it helps!

Hi Sparsh,

Thank you for your reply. This error is only happening for very large notes, which is occurring more often as we’re using AI note-taking apps.  Otherwise, the integration is beautiful.

When I looked at the Operating Constraints, I can see the larger size limit (35 MB with v17.2.0+), but which app should I be trying to update to 17.2.0+?  Its not clear that I have the option to update EN server-side and the current version is in the 10.162 range.

I think its a bug. I’ll reach out to support. Thank you so much! - Lin

Hey @LLMiles,

Yeah support can clear the confusion whether it’s a bug or not. But I think if it’s just happening for big notes it might just be constraint on the Zapier side.

The workaround will be to query the Wealthbox API directly as then the limit will probably be 20 MB. You can use Webhooks in Zapier Custom Request action to do that. See more about it here-https://help.zapier.com/hc/en-us/articles/8496326446989-Send-webhooks-in-Zaps

Here is the endpoint that you can query /v1/notes/{id}( https://dev.wealthbox.com/?_gl=1*1l1vtlt*_gcl_au*MjkwODI5OTAzLjE3NjMwMzU4OTU.#notes-note-get)

I know it can get a bit more technical and complex but if it’s important for you, you can give this approach a try. Hope it helps!
