Hi team, I am trying to trigger a Zap when Veriff reaches a decision. The Veriff New Decision trigger in Zapier is not pulling any records or payloads, so I cannot continue my workflow.

What I am doing

  1. In Zapier I select Veriff as the trigger, event New Decision.

  2. I connect using my Veriff API key and master signature key from Integration settings.

  3. I run an actual verification to completion in Veriff. The Veriff dashboard shows a final decision with the correct timestamp.

  4. I click Test trigger in Zapier.

Expected result
Zapier should return a recent decision with fields like status, reason, sessionId, and timestamps so I can map them to later steps.

Actual result
Zapier shows success but no records found, or returns only a generic sample with no real decision data. No live decision payload appears, so the Zap never runs.

What I have checked

  • Keys are valid and match the environment.

  • The decision exists in Veriff under Verifications.

  • Decision webhook settings are enabled on the Veriff side.

  • I waited several minutes and retried Test trigger.

  • I created a new Zap from scratch and reconnected the Veriff account.

Notes

  • Goal is to branch on approved or declined and then update my CRM.

  • If there is a required webhook URL or additional setting for decisions, please share the exact steps.

  • If the trigger only surfaces new events, can you confirm the time window and any limits so I can reproduce with a fresh session.

Can you help me get the live decision payload to appear in the New Decision trigger test and run the Zap reliably? If you need IDs or logs I can provide a recent sessionId and Zap ID privately. Thank you.

Hi @miikey

Try turning the Zap ON, then testing live, to get a live Zap Run to pass thru the Zap trigger step.

Then follow this guide for how to use a live Zap Run as a Zap trigger example record to configure the Zap action steps:

If you need more help, try reaching out to Veriff Support for help with their Zap app integration.

Hey there, @miikey 👋

Just came across this and wanted to check how you got on with Troy’s suggestion. Were you able to select a live Zap run for the trigger’s test record to access the necessary Veriff fields?

Want to make sure this got sorted, so please let us know how it went - happy to lend a hand if you’re still stuck at all. 🙂
