I am using the additional properties to retrieve, and it does not seem to allow me to fill in that field with my own value. I am using the Zap to create new contacts in Hubspot. The permissions have been double checked as well.
The custom field was created and it is called Contact information: Contact/Lead = Ruby, I also tried to set the value of that field to be “Ruby”.
But when I send my test through this is what it shows in Hubspot

The section in HubSpot steps for “Additional Properties to Retrieve” is for returning additional properties after the Zap step happens.
It is not for setting values in those properties.
You would need to use the correct HubSpot action step to create/update those fields in the correct section of the Zap step configuration.
