Updating Zaps for Webflows new API?

I had a client get a message

Zapier is discontinuing support for Webflow’s V1 API as they transition to an enhanced version of the API. This means that any Zaps relying on the V1 API will stop functioning on January 1, 2025. You should have also received an official notification from Zapier on October 15.

Is there some documentation on how to make this update? Has anyone had to make this update recently?

Did this topic help you find an answer to your question?

Hi there @CrayCray! 👋

Looking at Webflow’s API documentation here it seems they’ve since changed the sunset date for v1 of their API to March 31, 2025:

So your client still has time to get their Zaps switched over to the new version of the Webflow app.

Here’s a copy of the instructions that were sent out in the initial email that cover how they can switch to the new version:

How to update your Zaps

  1. Find your Webflow Zaps.
  2. For each Zap:
    1. Open the Zap in the editor and select the Webflow step to edit.
    2. In the “App” field, click “Change”, search for Webflow, and select the option with no version number in parenthesis (example). The current app selection should have a version number.
    3. Select the appropriate trigger or action event, and re-authenticate your Webflow account.
    4. Re-configure and test the step as necessary.
    5. Re-configure any necessary steps of your Zap and publish.

While updating your Zaps, you may get an error regarding your site needing to be republished to use the new APIs. Here's Webflow's guideline for publishing your site.

Hope that helps. If they run into any issues on that or if you have further questions just let us know! 🙂
