Hi, I have built a custom action to fetch all today's tasks from Todoist and it works just fine.

But I am unable to use the output as dynamic fields.

I am using Custom Actions BETA. Any clues on what I may be missing?

@laotzi have you tried hitting the refresh button on the Custom Action as mentioned in your second screenshot? Sometimes, if you’ve made edits to your Custom Action, you need to refresh to see the changes reflected in your Zap.

@DennisWF, yes, I've refreshed, and it goes to the Setup tab briefly before returning to the Configure tab. It's still in the same state as the screenshots I shared, so there's no new data.

@laotzi sorry, I have to admit I’m stumped on this one. When you run a test in the Custom Actions editor, it’s definitely returning results, but when implemented in a Zap, there’s still no data available, correct? I’ve not seen that behavior before, and wondering if it might just be a bug.

Hey there, @laotzi 👋

Just came across this and wanted to check how you’re getting on. Were you able to get it sorted?

If not, it looks like there’s no input fields set up on the custom action so that’s likely why there’s no fields to select on the Configure section of that action. It appears the test was skipped which is why you’re not able to use it’s output as dynamic fields.

Can you press the Test step button and see if that then gives you a list of today’s tasks:

Keep us posted on how you get on, want to make sure this gets sorted! 🙂
