Unable to sign-in to Nextiva via Zapier

Why hasn’t this been fixed in 7 months?

Hi ​@GuidantMel, ​@RudyMiami, ​@wicked_marvelous and ​@JeffB1331 - I’m so sorry your replies were missed here.

I’ve just checked on the bug report and it’s still open. I can’t give any sort of estimate as to when you can expect Nextiva’s developers to have this resolved by, but I’ve ensure that everyone here is on the list so you’ll all be notified as soon as they fix it.

In the meantime, I saw a reply in this related post that mentioned that the username for connecting Nextiva to Zapier is not the same as the one for logging into their app, specifically it said:

According to Nextiva's support docs - The username required to use Zapier is likely not the same username and password used to log in to Nextiva’s other tools (the Nextiva App). Contact your Nextiva administrator to obtain your username and coordinate a password reset, if necessary. https://www.nextiva.com/support/articles/zapier-faqs.html

That link goes to a 404 now so I’d recommend reaching out to Nextiva directly to confirm exactly what username should be used when connecting your Nextiva account to Zapier.

If you do reach out to them, please let me know what you find out.


It’s affecting us too. It looks like Nextiva has removed all their internal documentation on Zapier. Has this feature been officially discontinued?

Sorry to hear you’re being affected by this as well ​@The BuyBack Platform. It’s not been discontinued, as far as I can see Nextiva’s app integration with Zapier is still available. 

I can’t give any sort of ETA on when it will be fixed but I’ve added you to the list so you’ll get a notification once it has been resolved by Nextiva’s developers. I’d recommend reaching out to Nextiva’s Support team in the meantime to confirm which username you should use when connecting in case that’s what’s causing the errors.

Please keep us posted on how you get on with them, keen to know whether it is due to the username.


Upon Reaching out to Nextiva:

It seems like the Username and Password that you need to use to Connect Nextiva to Zapier is not your regular email address, it’s a combination of your Nextiva username (not email address) + @nextiva.com 

For example, John.Doe@example.com is not relevant however Nextiva’s assigned “username” jodoe12345 + @ Nextiva.com = jodoe12345@nextiva.com 

The password remains to be your established NextOS password.

 

I really hope this helps future users with the Nextiva/Zapier Connection! - It worked for us!

I am trying to set this up as well, and can see that nothing seems to have been done in about a year of this being an issue.

In the meantime, could you try The BuyBack Platform’s suggestion of entering your username and @nextiva.com together (like username@nextiva.com) in the Username field when connecting your Nextiva account?

Hopefully that will resolve things for you and others here as well. If anyone gives that a try and it works, please let me know! 🤞
